Welcome to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
It is only the International Airport in Nepal Running since more than 60 years.
The Airport is situated in Kathmandu valley which is surrounded with hills.
The Airport elevation Is 4386 ft AMSL.
In a normal Situation this airport was handling more than 500 flights a day but since the Covid19 spread all around the world we are operating rescue flights Medical cargo flights and Charter flights.
For the preparation of Post covid19 operation TIA have changed some of its physical infrastructures and developed Standard Operating Procedure based on International and Natioal requirements.
Social distancing public announcement compulsory face mask use of sanitizers are some of the major safety measures according to WHO ICAO IATA ACI and national guidance materials.
Tribhuvan International Airport being only gateway for Nepal by air is now almost ready to serve as per the needs of the respected travellers.
